Compass Informatics at Dublin Geo Conference Week – 4-8 March

 

Compass Informatics staff will be attending the Eye on Earth 1st International Meeting, to be held in Dublin on 4-6 March 2013 at the Convention Centre in Dublin. The meeting is sponsored by the European Environment Agency and is part of a week of geo information related activities held during the Irish Presidency of the European Union Council.

On 6 March, the ENVIROFI FP7 project is holding an all-day seminar, also free to attend, sponsored by the EC’s DG Joint Research Centre.  Gearóid Ó Riain of Compass Informatics will participate in the panel discussion of the ENVIROFI Day  – The topic of the panel session is the future of environmental services. Gearóid will draw on the experiences of the company including its operation of the National Biodiversity Data Centre.

And finish off the week with the EUROGI (European Umbrella Group for Geographic Information) imaGIne Conference on Thursday and Friday, 7-8 March.  On Thursday afternoon Ali Robinson of Compass Informatics will present on “Geotechnologies support Failte Ireland in development of dynamic business intelligence solution to manage Irish destinations for European tourism”.

All events are held at the Dublin Conference Centre.
